Diamond and Caldor 64

This 15-ton, 24-foot flatcar was built by Holman Car Works in 1907 and numbered 64 by the Diamond and Caldor Railway. It was found near Placerville, California, where the D&C had abandoned it. SPCRR restored it in 1983, making it the first car used for passenger service on the railroad. For many years it was incorrectly numbered as South Pacific Coast 439. SPCRR corrected that in 2001 when the car was redecked and repainted as D&C 64.
