West Side Lumber Company 222

This lumber flatcar was one of the last 45 flatcars in service on the West Side Lumber Company railroad in Tuolumne. SPCRR acquired it in 2002 from a collector and restored it during summer 2002, with most of the assembly work happening over three days as a demonstration of traditional railroad and industrial skills at the Washington Township Railroad Fair. In 2023 SPCRR converted it into a representative open-air gondola with ADA seating and passenger benches inside.

A restoration report by Bruce MacGregor on our WSLCo flatcars is available with a donation of $15 or more.
